Bachna ae Haseeno....

May be the title should have been Bachna Ae Audience, 'coz this is nothing but a glorification of the Yash-Aditya Romance, and with basically one of three darling heroines a complete Simran from DDLJ.. But one thing I do agree to is that the second half of the movie considerably picks and gives a little spark in the brain to those who are suffering from severe overdose of DejaVu..

Ranbir is good at playing his chirpy bubbly self and with a dash of charm showing up in places. But I somehow got the feeling through out the movie that he really is capable of much more than just that, looked like he was just taking it light... a little too light.. :) Amongst the heroines and their chemistry I would rate Deepika the best, she was a natural when it came to chemistry, you might of course point out that they are afterall real life couple too.. but mon amis.. you forget how non chemical Kareena and Shahid were .. until they split }:-) !! So.. I give her the credit and after Deepika its Bipasha, her usual best-as-sultry self.

The story line, although I am not going to give out much kinda goes like this .. Boy meets girl, has some fun (clean, except for a smooch) dumps girl unceremoniously. Boy meets another girl, has some fun (not so clean this time!) dumps her too unceremoniously at the alter and runs off to Australia - job related loong trip. Boy meets yet another girl.. has some fun (this time clean too) , seriously falls in love, and girl dumps! But since this is a hindi movie and hindi movies can't at any cost let the hero bear the brunt of a heart break, the last one comes back.. but something else happens in between.. Boy troubled by his earlier actions of dumping girlfriends, goes back to apologize to them.. do they forgive? can they reconcile to the fact that he is THE person who literally destroyed their life's and yet has the cheek to come back and mutter a sorry??!!

Hmm.. that's for you to see, however I warn you, the first half is dragging, leaving you wishing the director would hurry things up.. and seriously, the movie can use a little more humor, for being a romantic comedy, it does not make the viewer laugh much.. in that way I loved Jab we met, it has quirky dialogues and was really fun to watch. Also the 'transformation' of Ranbir's character is not really impactful.. meaning for a person who realizes that dumping can hurt.. and realizes how much he's hurt the people he dated, Raj (Ranbir's character) does not show any change in emotion or person, even the desperation in winning the apologies has just been 'slept through'. A little more push would have made the movie a better one and a memorable one as well, but for now it remains a passable afternoon watch.. with one good song!
